Description

 

Console module manages input and output (I/O) for character mode applications.

It also provides support for window title, cursor appearance, characters attribute and more.

 

How to use this module

 

Inside your script, before calling any module specific keyword, add the following:

 

USES "CONSOLE"

 

This directive will load the module and add the following new keywords and relevant module equates.

 

Startup Options

 

The following startup options are avaibale:

 

USES "CONSOLE noalloc"

 

noalloc: instruct module not to allocate a new console at module startup. Programmer will be responsible to allocate a new console window using Console_Alloc when needed

 

Note

 

Console module is distributed into 2 different versions depending by the operating system thinBasic is installed.

On OS prior Win2K a specific Console module is installed. This is due to missing API functions.
